    Overview

Binidali is one of several small but individual, waterside villages along the south eastern corner of Menorca and popular amongst those looking for a more authentic Menorca experience, escaping hotel crowds and prefering the individuallity of a villa or small apartment complex. There is a small, secluded safe beach and a small bar/restaurant in the village. The village has a small apartment complex with mostly villas residential and holiday homes. No hotels.

Along the coast road eastwards is a large sand beach at Binisafuller ( Binisafua ) Another five minutes drive and you will come to the resort of Binibeca. Along this coastline there are lots of little inlets which just invite a little swim in crystal clear turquiose waters. These villages are connected by just about the only coastal road on the island- Bus no. 94

Some aircraft noise may be heard due to the proximity to the airport.

    See and Do

Close by there is a very pretty virgin cove and beach Cala Biniparratx just up the coast eastwards. A small limestone gorge with cut out caves near the sandy beach.

    Menorca Holiday Tips

There are some fabulous quality restaurants in the pretty neighbouring villages of Torret and S'Ullastrar.

There are delightful narrow track lanes all around the north of Binidali to explore - even the thwack of a cricket bat on ball at the nearby Menorca Cricket Club along the road to Biniparrell and Llucmacanes.

Cala Binipartrix - Valley and Virgin Beach

Along the coast between Es Canutells and Binibeca lies the pretty 'hidden' cove of Cala Binipartrix. A limestone gorge with a sandy beach at the end in a sheltered cove. Park and 10 min walk through the gorge bottom to the beach. (as a virgin beach there may well be piles of dead seaweed so take a little 'clearing tool' - if you don't like walking over it!

    Shopping & Eating

There is more a extensive choice at Binibequer Vell ( reachable by car or resort train ) were there is a small array of souvenir and clothes shops in pleasant surroundings, a suprisingly large supermarket, cash point. Cala Torret at the eastern end is a mock 'fishermans' apartments complex in a tiered pedestrian area set above the rocks. There are several restaurants of varying quality alongside and inside the Binibequer Vell commercial centre all in the same location. Cala Torret at the other end of the resort also offers a handful of Bar Restaurants, a mini supermarket overlooking the rocky shoreline and perhaps offers better value.

    Menorca Holiday Tips

There is large hypermarket in nearby Sant Lluis and a smaller very popular supermarket Sa Botega at S'Ullastrar, on the way to Sant Lluis.

For Self caterers, visit the large Eroski supermarket at the Poligno outside Sant Lluis on the road towards Mahon. The independent Cafe Bar has not only an excellent value and tasty Menu del Dias/Buffet (witness many locals at the tables! ) but you can take it away too!

There are some lovely drives along idylic narrow country roads through the country side to the villages of Llucamanens and Torret. Torret is picture postcard pretty, leave the car and just walk through it. There are also some highly regarded restaurants ( Sa Pedrera des Pujol, Sa Parereta d'en Doro, Pan y Vino ) . Llucamances is a pretty hamlet and just a further short trip to El Grill, a favourite rustic Bar Restaurant (in old farmhouse ) on the airport access road ( you passed it as you left the airport !) where you will find some of the islands best grilled meat dishes and chill out terrace for evenings.

Visit La Rueda Bar-Restaurant at Sant Lluis, which has a counter with nearly 3 meters of delicous Tapas.

    Menorca Holiday Tip

Mahon will mostly be written on timetables, signposts as Maó it's correct local name. Also posted in the local papers eg Ultima Hora Menorca, Menorca towards the back pages are most of the islands bus timetables. You will nearly always find a copy of this in a spanish cafe bar ( any day in season will do ) - make notes, please don't take paper as its there for all to read. If you are staying longer than a week take a trip on this good network and see some of the other resorts/towns first hand.

Bus No. 94 operates mid June to Mid September only but is daily and goes all the way to Punta Prima, the biggest resort in this area with it's superb sandy beach. Bus connections from Punta Prima to Sant Lluis and Mahon.

Bus No. 93 can be caught from Binibeca (Binibequer) for a connection to Mahon - only three a day make the 20 minute trip into Mahon but good value at 1.60€ one way.

    • Binibequer to Mahon: daily 11:00, 14:15, 18:00
    • Mahon to Binibequer: daily: 10:30, 14:00, 17:30

A one way journey by taxi from the airport should be around 25 Euros ( check price before starting )

During the May-mid October running several times a day, the mini "road train" follows the coast road to the nearby resort of Punta Prima. Approximately 7€ per person for a return trip.

    Nightime Entertainment

As with most smaller resorts in Menorca, evening entertainment here is generally to be found in the resort bars but nothing that would ever compare to the neon jungle of the popular resorts along the south coast of Majorca. Mahon and Ciutadella however offer something for everyone, but with none of the "binge drink clubbing" to be found on Ibizia and Majorca.

Apart from your own entertainment the only other spot is the Bar so tends to be well attended. Otherwise catch the Bus/resort train to Binisafuller and beyond.
