Monto Torre - Highest point on Menorca with great views...

Monte Torro is the highest point on the island the name most likely coming from the Arabic, 'al-tor', meaning highest mountain. Though not a mountain it is worth a visit for the stunning views .

Best time to visit April/March ( See Photos ) where air clarity lets you see all the way to each coast and Northern mountains of Majorca!

There is a pleasant Cafe Bar Restaurant Sa Posado del Toro at the top with inside seating and an open terrace with views to the south. A decent sized gift shop is attached to the Cafe.

🚻 Toilets are free if you buy a drink or food in the restauran else a small fee.

Monte Toro is signposted from Es Mercadal (...más información) in the dead centre of the island along the ME-1.

Good to know - also known as El Toro in Catalan.

Confident walkers can hike to the top as do many cyclists - but it's a long way if starting from Es Mercadal!
