Don't know Menorca? Unspoilt best describes this island. A destination where a long standing balance has been struck between tourism and preserving one of the Mediterranean's most attractive beach and costal paradises.

Perhaps less known than Menorca's stunning beach filled coastline, is the Island's interior. Sparsely populated with miles of signed and unsigned ancient trails and rural lanes (camis ) lined by dry stone walls all of which criss cross Menorca's diverse landscape.

...and best of all you have all the other great things about Menorca like the beautiful scenery, waterside restaurants , traditional Tapas without the cold! ...all this is just 2 hours flight time away which makes Spring and Autumn shortbreaks possible.

Menorca's spring is a great time for outdoor adventures, splash through the surf on horseback... spring into life!

Mountain Biking in Menorca

All Year

With rolling rather than steep hills, quiet country roads, and many kilometres of rough country tracks( camis), cycling is one of the best ways to explore Menorca. Mountain Bikes hired for a day or two or organised excursions are an exciting way to discover Menorca 'hidden' from the beach resorts. Winter time is often 15 C plus with sunny days.

While there are few purpose made cycle ways( mainly near cities), alongside roads cyclists are allowed to use the 1.5m wide plus margins at the side of most of the major roads. There is now an increasing network of signposted recommended routes and more and more places offering MTB hire.

Kayaking Adventure,Tours and around the island experience holidays

All Year

Menorca is fast developing into a new destination for experienced Kayak fans who love the sun and sea mix. But it's definitely not just for die hard paddlers but great for holidaymakers to add something special to their stay on Menorca. A chance to see the amazing coast up close, reach dreamy beaches and coves without the coast of a more expensive boat charters.

It would be difficult to think of an island more suited to sea kayaking than Menorca. Springtime and early summer season means sunshine , glistening waters and lower priced accommodation.

Basic kayaks can be hired from beach but generally they will not have good enough back support for trips of more than an hour or two. Hired Kayaks from excursion companies will be much better suited to longer paddles.

Stand up Paddle - SUP

Summer

A more leisurely way to get on the water. A wide stable board, on which you stand rather than sit and glide over the water uisng a long single paddle. Standing means you can see into the crystal waters below you.

Windsurfing

All Year

The main windsurfing area is the bay of Fornells, it being ideal for holiday beginners to learn.

Hard core winssurfing with wave jumping happens in winter time. Son Bou and Punta Prima being popular spots.

Menorca Scuba Diving

Spring and Summer

The pristine warm clear waters with visibility of up to 30 metres, calm seas, and a well established Marine reserve on the north coast make the island a popular destination for divers of all abilities. Menorca diving now is one of the most popular and established sports on the island with centres around the island offering courses up to dive master levels. The wide shallow inlet at the Bay of Fornells offers the perfect conditions for beginners to take courses and yet minutes from the dive centres just outside the bay are beautiful dive spots on the reefs and underwater caves of the Marine Reserve. There are also many dive spots around the island which can easily be accessed from the

Snorkelling

Summer only

The waters of Menorca are a real holiday memory. They are amazingly clear so even with just a simple snorkel you will see lots, not murky haze. And because the water is in such good condition you'll see lots of fish and marine life too. Many, many of the resort beaches have shallow sandy bottoms fringed with rocks, ideal for young snorkellers. Organised trips can take you to spectacular places by boat for that something extra special.

Adventure and Adrenaline

Menorca has a deserved reputation for relaxation that doesn't mean it does not know how to enjoy it'self. How about 200m above the ground Paragliding or taking the wheel of a jeep down rugged tracks where cars cannot go? Three karting tracks can provide a buzz for speed freaks.

RIB Excursions

A Rigid Infalateable Boat is a lightweight open rigid hulled vessel typically with a big outboard engine and basic fittings ie 'a seat of your pants water roadster' built for speed and fun! A real wind in your face way to see the coast and because they are smaller you can get in close to sea caves and beaches.
