Overview
Sant Climent ( also called San Climente ) is a small residential town with more than most. While small it's home to two of the islands icons to those in the know. Es Casino Bar Restaurant and Es Moli Foc. For holiday visitors with a hire care Sant Climent is a great first stop from the airport if you are hungry or fancy a first relaxing drink before heading off to your Villa or Apartment.
Located on the main road (ME-12) from Mahon to Cala en Porter Sant Climent is well worth a visit if you are in the area. "Famous" for Casino Bar-Restaurant (some of the best tasting/value) Menu del Dias on the island. Last shop on the right towards Cala en Porter is a traditional bakers where you can experience real bread made in real wood fired ovens in front of your eyes-tastes fantastic.
Sant Climent even has it's own micro brewery producing english style beers, on sale locally and across the island

If you fancy something a little bit more wild there is a very pretty virgin cove and beach ( Cala Biniparratx - small limestone gorge with cut out caves near the beach.) on the south coast. Drive to Es Canutells, then off to Binidali then on the right hand side on the road to Cap d'en Font. There are lots of prehistoric sites-see below for details.
All around Sant Climent are interesting sites from prehistory and Roman times.

Mahon has a great mediterranean charm around the centre and harbour. Busy pavement Cafes and Bars, superb fruit and fish markets and all enclosed in a maze of narrow streets with architecture and many reminders of it's Georgian past. In addition to the traditional the town offers a myriad of stylish shops and bars. Along the whole length of the harbour quayside (Moll de Llevant) there is an electic collection of Cafes, Bars and Restaurants for all pockets and styles. A spectacular setting above the huge natural harbour with ships and boats of every shape and sizes.
Along the road that runs right through the town. Along here you find are Newsagent, Good little cafe and patisserie, a chocoholics shop "Can Dulce" ( catering to the ex pat ladies chocolate addictions me thinks! ) and a spar supermarket. An Excellent local produce shop, Can Bernat and a small butchers.
