Menorca Airport does not operate any Airport Shuttles or have public Buses direct to any beach resorts. The Airport Bus (no.10) is not a great Transfer option - you must change at Mahon Bus station with long travel times (waits for 2/3 bus connections ) to reach your Holiday Resort - and manage your own baggage.
Airport Taxis Can only carry 4 passengers by law and don't offer child seats as required for transfers with youngsters.

Can a private transfer be a better option? Transfers included with Package Holidays can wait for missing passengers/delayed planes bundlled to use same Transfer. Could detour to some 'on the way' south coast resorts and include multiple hotel drop offs - Direct Transfer Times. They can also eat into valuable holiday time as the pickups are often 4+ hours before you need to be at the airport as multiple hotels use same flight. Everyone arrives together = bigger check-in queue

Daytime (06:00-21:00) Taxis from outside arrivals and for 4 or less passengers to Resorts within 20km Taxi transfers represent the best value and convenience. For small children, larger groups, greater distances from Airport or Ferryport e.g. staying in West Coast resorts ( like Cala en Bosch, Cala en Forcat , Cala Blanca etc ) and where you need to guarantee a child seat ( spanish law ) we advise either pre-booked shared or private transfers.
SPANISH LAW is strict eg no small children on knee/with correct seating outside urban areas eg leaving Airport -risk of police spot fines! TAXIS are NOT libel
Law requires under 12's ( or any child under 135cm ) to sit in the rear of Taxi with a suitable seat/riser and wear a seat belt at all times.

Use FOC Airline baggage allowance to bring your own seats - if you will use taxis during your holiday
Public Airport Taxis do not provide child seats ( nor can be requested/booked ) so take your own travel child seats or book a private Transfer - it is illegal to travel in Taxi from Airport without correct child seating.

Are private transfers better than included transfers? yes potentially eg you have sensitive children, irritable partners, travelling to big popular resorts.
Private transfers gives you certainity - not waits / longer journey times which could be significant as popular resorts have more passengers ( to get through new BIOmetric passport controls,collect baggage, 'disappear' for toilets/cigarette) and they may bundle one included transfer with more than a single flight (delays?) with multiple hotel drop offs. At the end of your holiday a Tour operator transfer can often require you to be ready 4 hours before your flight so they can visit / collect all hotels. A private transfer can give you more holiday time at the start AND the end without the stress.

Taxis : As soon as your group is over 4 ( inc. kids of ANY age ) you need 2 or more taxis ( by law ) and a private transfer is nearly ALWAYS cheaper!

Exit Arrivals baggage hall walk 1 min towards the left hand end of Airport Terminal were you will find the Shuttle Services Offices for handing in Transfer Vouchers and be directed to your vehicle.
