Set on the cliffs of a stunning bay in a now protected nature area giving stunning views from the cliff tops. Cala en Porter is a mixture of residential villas private Holiday Homes and a few smaller hotels.
Close to Mahon for day or evening trips. Self contained family resort with probably the best childrens beach on the island. Home to Coves Xoroi a superb "chill out" location day or night.

Rated as one of, if not the best resort beaches on Menorca, especially for smaller children due it's perfect sands, incredibly gently sloping shallows, falling into crystal clear turquoise waters. And while this makes it very popular for children the beach is big enough for those who prefer to avoid the little ones to find their ideal spots too! The beach can be reached on foot via steps, by car with free car parking under shade or you can walk down beach road from the centre on pavement (suitable for buggies) Wheel chair users have their own toilet and wheelcair access to the sea with assistance. A 'ting ting' train can return you back to the resort or Taxi ( 5-7 Eur ) At the beach front their are public toilets and a red cross/lifeguards post. There is a few beachside Cafe bars and basic restaurants along the beachside promenade. Some might complain about the steps to get back up from the beach, but they like everyone else adore the beach bay views from below and above. The beach and water is the mainstay of the leisurely day time activities and there is usually a volley ball net set up on the beach to use. Pedalos with slides (14 Euro/hour) and simple Kayaks ( 12 Euro/hour ) can be hired from the beach. A summer based excursion company offers moreadventurous trips and better sea kayaks ( under Aquarium hotel ) There are childrens play areas at the beach and in the resort centre.Sailing is available in the nearby watersports centres of S'Algar or Fornells and golf in Son Parc is just 25 mins away. There is a childrens play centre in the centre with a variety of charged entertainments and small bar so the children can loose their energy on bouncy castles while mums and dads look on while enjoying a drink or coffee.

Can Bernat restaurant just outside Cala'n Porter offers great food ( open fire grilled meats & vegetables a speciality ) and an attractive rear terrace looking out onto the local countryside. La Vela ( good midday Tapas ) , Los Pablos, La Palette,Casa Tia and Il Pulpo Restaurants are also recommended. As is an Italian at Sa Barrera hotel terrace.
