Fun For Children

Sadly the departure (2019) of Goody Goody  childrens play park means there is a lot less than in previous years. There is a grassed area for ball games and a few young childrens frames next to Caremea beach (Son Xoriguer). At various locations you can hire fun bikes ( uptp 4 seats ) to ride around the resort with kids.

At Cap D'Atrutx there is the Big Apple 'chill out zone' ( formely Titanic Park ) Bar Pizzeria with Splash pool with small slides/splash pool and few pay amusements.

At the Marina there is Star Games I and II which are pay indoor amusements and some small karts tracks and rides - see photo

Family Snorkelling

The pristine waters of Menorca are a real holiday memory. They are amazingly clear so even with just a simple snorkel you will see lots, not murky haze. And because the water is in such good condition you'll see lots of fish too. Many, many of the resort beaches have shallow sandy bottoms fringed with rocks, ideal for young snorkellers. Organised trips can make a great family day out with as a Snorkel Safari or stop off as part of a Boat excusrions. There are also marine reserves around Menorca where the marine life is even more abundent.

Snorkel Guide

The bay is excellent for snorkelling as the water is calmed by the inlet and of course rocks are where the fish are! Equipment Hire and excursions can be found behind beach at Son Xoriguer or dive centre. Fun underwater aqua scooters are also available to hire

At nearby Son Xoriguer you can waterski ( peak season only ) ,windsurf ( tuition available ), sail on a Hobie Cat/Dingy or simply get wet on banana boat rides. Surf Sail Menorca provide hire and tuition. Also Kayak and Stand up paddle hire.

Underwater 'scooters' can be hired from the Bigfoot shop behind Son Xoriguer beach.

A taste of former elegant times with fine old spanish palaces, moorish influences, a wonderful old centre and a charming little harbour. Ciutadella was the original capital of the island lying at the western edge of the island looking out to its bigger neighbour Mallorca. A superb contrast to the beach and holiday resort. Great atmosphere and shopping and a place to wander the pedestrianised old city and its many narrow streets with hidden shops and Cafe treats. Also competes with Mahon for the title of the best music bars and venues on the island. The scene for the spectacular Sant Joan festival in June, when stunning native black horses parade through the streets and the brave try to "touch the horses' heart" as it rears in front of them.

Cala'n Bosch Beach

Cala en Bosch and Son Xoriguer each have their own beach. Cala en Bosch beach is close to the Marina area and around the headland is the neighbouring beach of Son Xoriguer. Cala en Bosch is much the bigger of the two, has fine white sandy and is part of inlet which calms the waters for the smaller children and provides good snorkelling with it's rocks along the bay sides. The beach at Son Xoriguer is where the watersports can be found.
