The island has quite a diverse set of resorts. Some grown around an original town or village with holiday villas and apartments and just a few smaller hotels if any. Others more recently built as holiday resort developments which will contain holiday villas and apartments and larger packaged holiday type hotels. In general all music in resorts will finish around 11pm. For those wishing to enjoy things into the early hours visit Mahon, Ciutadella and Es Castell or Coves Xorio in Cala en Porter

An important little helper.

As you look around you might well get confused by place names: is Calan Porter the same as Cala D'en Porter, where is this placed called Mao, i'm looking for Mahon?

Tour operators, guides will often use Anglicised place names and plain lazy spelling! We will try to give you all possible location names . So Mao is correct, so is Mahon they are the same place. Also some areas are merged together.

Best Resorts for Families ?

This is very subjective of course. What is fact is that Menorca is very children friendly so we list resorts that offer a lot for children ( o-14 years old ) to do beyond the wonderfull beach which you will struggle to get them off anyway!
