What to expect in May on Menorca
A different holiday awaits you to the peak summer hazes, heat and humidity. Winter has scrubbed the air for 'see for miles' views , the sea is at it's sparkling best with none of the suncream films of peak season.
In short, it's a perfect balance between beach, relaxation, nature and culture. The temperatures are milder for hiking and cultural visits. The only downside: swimming can be a little chilly, especially at the beginning of the month.
What is the weather like in Menorca in May?
May has around 9 hours of sunshine per day and average temperatures ~17°C during the day, highs upto 26°C and rarely droping below 12°C. Nighttimes ~ 10 °C so you will need to pack accordingly. Suncream!! UV index hits 8 - that is not far off peak summer .This far south the sun's rays are UV STRONG so you will burn at lower temps., even with clouds!

To be upfront Menorca is, too often, pushed as a Family friendly destination but it's maybe not every family's taste. Menorca does not offer Salut, Costa de Sol or Majorca levels of 'buzzy' family Tourist entertainments in it's resorts. Menorca not sounding right for you? Perhaps Majorca , Costa del Sol or indeed back to Costa Dorada and it's big Waterparks is your better choice?

One of Menorca's more touristically developed resorts with an above average offering for younger children. This resort lies above a horseshoe bay with an almost enclosing headland on the horizon. It also means, the water here is shallower, calmer and warmer due to the very shallow falls into the water.
