We think the best markets on Menorca are the summer time Night Markets held between June-Sept in Ciutadella, Mahon, Es Mercadal, Alaior and Es Castell and some other smaller menorca towns.

Mahon Market - Plaça Esplanada (main Square 50m from Mahón / Maó main Bus station)	On Tuesdays and Saturdays, throughout the year, and on Sundays, from May 19 to September 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Ciuatdella Market - Plaça Born (main Square 500m from Cathedral)	On Mondays and Fridays, throughout the year, Winter: 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. / Summer: 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Summer Night Markets - Handcrafts, Artisanal gifts & Gastronomy

From early June to September Menorca's summer markets can be found evenings in Ciutadella/Mahon, nost of menorca's towns and a few beach resorts (Market Locations/Days ). They invite you to wander. Mostly artensal, they also offer some individual toys for children but mostly something fashionable for the ladies and ( often handmade ) artistic souvenirs.

Es Castell - Every MONDAY in July and August along the pedestrian area above the Cales Fonts harbour Night Market - Mercat de Nit. A variety of Artisan Crafts, Fashion accessories , handmade jewellry, food and live Music. A great way to combine a visit to Es Castell bars and restaurant.

Es Castell is particularly charming combining all the bar and restaurants of the two Harbours with Artisan stalls and a few clothing, cashion and choes shops that open out of converted Fisherman's caves in the late afternoon/evening.

Some of the beach resort markets are smaller versions of travelling clothes/souvenirs = not so great - better ones have Handicraft stalls ( Artesano ) with dress accessories, hand made craft and Jewellery and are nearly always in the evenings. They are only in the peak summer period mid June to end of August/Mid September dependent on location.

The popular Ciutadella, Mahon ,Es Mercadal, Alaior and Es Castell evening markets are ( better ) more Artisan / Eclectic : featuring homemade foods, clothing, Jewellery , decorations and hand-crafted objects. Great to enjoy taking in Cafe bars and musical events which often accompany them on warm summer evenings.
